Main Purpose of the Job:

To Assist the Estates management in implementation of FCDO Health and Safety policy on all BHC owned properties. To ensure all the staff are following the H&S standards to avoid any accident. To assist the H&S Manager to Improve the Health and Safety Culture and Safe system of work. To ensure carry out risk assessment, incident accident investigation and carry out site audit.  To keep updated all H&S safety related record on the portal and in the documents. To provide guidance to staff on safe system of work.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve:                                                                               

  • Implementation of FCDO/H&S Executive UK Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Carry Out Risk Assessments for all operational, maintenance and construction sites in coordination with the Site Supervisors
  • Carry out daily site inspection within the residential and office compound to identify Hazards and follow up with concern team to close. Ensure PPEs compliance on site.
  • Submit site inspection report to Head of Section/H&S Manager.
  • Carry out Inspection of First Aid Boxes, bags, Fire escape routes, Firefighting equipment.
  • Carry out DSE for staff whenever required.
  • Coordinate with Fire warden, First Aiders and H&S reps on H&S matters.
  • Coordinate with Store team to make sure all H&S related items are in place.
  • Arrange weekly fumigation of office and residential properties.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talk and Safety Induction of all staff, visitors and new joiners.
  • Prepare Incident/Accident report and investigation.
  • Arrange H&S meetings and record minutes.
  • Update the emergency Plans as per direction of H&S Manager
  • To ensure compliance on estates/PCA guidance and make sure all H&S audit documents are up to date.
  • To reduce the risk level by putting all necessary control measures where required.
  • Any other admin related task assigned by the LM.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role and organization
  • National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) International General Certification.
  • Hand on experience of MS office
  • Email drafting skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Good English communication skills
  • Customer care skills
  • Qualification in Environmental science.
  • Worked in UK owned organization.

For BHC candidates, the Country Based Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply. For other than BHC candidates the basic salary will be ­­PKR 91,595 per month. This salary is non-negotiable.

'Please note that the current salaries are being dollarized and processed in USD (using a fixed corporate exchange rate from November 2022) to provide cushion against the current external market conditions. This is a temporary measure and is subject to review at regular intervals. The payroll will revert to local currency processing once the external market conditions are normalised.
