MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

 

To establish and manage a database of Pakistani   military alumni of UK Defence Education courses as part of the Defence   Education & Training project under the CSSF Stabilisation programme.



ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Under guidance from the Asst Military Adviser:

 

  • Design a database using   available information held by Def Sect, to record and track career   appointments of Pakistani military personnel after their attendance on UK   Defence Education courses.

 

  • Implement a management system to   maintain engagement with alumni after course attendance that supports the   project’s Results Framework.

The   database and management system should be compatible with MOD systems (MOD   Main Bldg and UK Defence Academy).

You should be able to work well under pressure   and confident in dealing with a range of internal and external partners. This   job requires management of a complex portfolio of growing scale expected to   meet highest standards of financial and programme management. You will need to   be flexible with a can-do attitude and willingness to provide leadership in   your area of expertise and support the wider the team. We are looking for an   individual with relevant background in creating and managing a database with   some project management experience.



Good understanding and working knowledge of creating and managing a database using a recognised (Microsoft Access or Excel) database management system. Good inter-personal skills.
