Main purpose of job:
As part of a strengthened bilateral trade relationship between the UK and Bangladesh, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) at the British High Commission works to promote UK exports to Bangladesh, increase market access for UK companies in Bangladesh, support British investments in the country, and encourage inward investment from Bangladesh to the UK.
The work of the team is focused on generating major opportunities for UK industry in Bangladesh and helping UK businesses to access these opportunities both directly, and through partners.
The Trade and Investment Manager will be responsible for promoting multiple UK sectors in the market through scoping opportunities for British businesses in Bangladesh, and supporting the team in addressing barriers to trade in the assigned sectors. The successful candidate is expected to provide tailored advice to potential UK companies, supporting them to make informed decision on market entry to Bangladesh.
The jobholder will have the opportunity to travel within the South Asia region and beyond, working closely with colleagues across the DBT network.

For British High Commission (BHC) candidates, the Country Based Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.
For other than BHC candidates, salary range will be all inclusive BDT 122,745 per month.
