Main purpose of job:
Corporate Services is one of the core departments of the British Embassy in Moscow.
We require a full time officer to undertake HR responsibilities for the Russia network. This role will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to learn a wide range of functions in compliance with Foreign, Commonwealth and Development (FCDO) policies.
This role is based within the corporate services office. You will help deliver a high level of support to colleagues on HR matters. You will need to be accurate and meet tight deadlines to provide a professional service to colleagues within the Embassy. A wide range of duties will include gathering payroll data, such as sickness and overtime claims, supporting the onboarding process for new candidates and developing and updating information on HR procedures and policies. You will need to work to demonstrate enthusiasm for working as part of a team, be able to cascade information clearly and prioritise a range of duties.
This is a great opportunity to work with both internal and external stakeholders, working in tandem with our HR Hub based in Lisbon. You will be part of a change process to support our internal colleagues as we introduce a new HR/Finance platform.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate knowledge in the HR field, show enthusiasm to identify areas of change and be able to communicate succinctly with a range of stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely support to the HR function through a range of administrative activities (e.g. letters, queries, reports, producing/ amending/ terminating employment contracts etc. )
- Gather and input payroll data, such as sickness, overtime, allowances and other benefits into the external HR system, ensuring accuracy, completeness and meeting monthly input deadlines
- Assist the HR hub with the recruitment process, including advertisement of positions, shortlisting and applications for Russian speaking slots (labourers, maids, etc.)
- Provide administrative support to the L&D function, including learning and development scheduling
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of efficient and effective HR procedures/ policies for CBS management
- Implement HR policy in line with FCDO guidelines and Russian labour law
- Respond to routine HR enquiries
- Manage and update HR data bases
- Assist with employment termination and disciplinary matters
- Maintain induction pack and ensure that it is up to date and containers relevant data.
- Support on learning and development implementation.
- Fluent in both English and Russian - written and oral communication
- Previous HR experience
- Knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel
- Knowledge of 1C: Enterprise
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
This is a permanent contract, 5 working days, 35 hours net per week.
The monthly salary for this position is Rub 85,176 gross, AO level, paid 13 times a year. We also offer a performance related annual bonus.
The successful candidate will be subject to professional background check and security clearance.
