Main purpose of job:

Act as principal Point of Contact for all official Pakistan Military visa requests to the UK.

Roles and responsibilities :

  • Ensure efficient administration of Pakistani military personnel attending UK courses or exchange posts.
  • Liaise with UK and Pakistani military training organization, in order to maintain good working relationships and maximise the effectiveness of attendance on UK courses.
  • Manage the alumni contacts and Visa Facilitation database.
  • Act as principal Point of Contact for all official UK Military visas requests to Pakistan-engaging with Pakistani agencies, as required.
  • Manage enquiries from ex- India Army veterans and families.
  • Deputise for Defence Adviser’s PA when required.
  • Deputise for the Assistant Military Adviser in the administration of Non Objection Certificates of movement of Military personnel within Pakistan.

 What we do:

 Represent the High Commissioner on Defence Issues within the British High Commission and support military objectives within Pakistan.

Have a professional and customer focused attitude when dealing with senior Pakistan Military Officers and subordinates, when dealing with the complexities and bureaucracy of the visa process with Pakistan and United Kingdom.

Essential on arrival: Good organisational skills.

Salary Details:  

For BHC candidates, the Local BHC Terms & Conditions will apply. 

For other than BHC candidates, Basic Salary will be ­­­­­­PKR 199,943 per month + PKR 80,000 (security allowance) After tax abatement of PKR 4,997/- salary will be PKR 274,946 /- per month.

Holds one of the following passports: UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.

Due to the security requirements of the position applicants should be British, US, Australian, New Zealand, Canadian or EU national who have spent at least two of the last five years in their home countries. Applicants must be willing to undergo the clearance procedure, and your application should set out your nationality and places of residence for the past five years.
