The British Embassy, Israel has vacancy for a Temporary Corporate Services and HR Manager, Grade B3(L).

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter to play a key role in the management of the essential support services for the British Embassy. The job holder will have direct responsibility for the day to day running of the Corporate Services and the wider Embassy team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the Deputy to Head of Corporate Services by providing support in running the section and decision making.
  • Lead on Learning & Development by managing the Learning & Development budget, supporting staff, consolidating staff’s Personal Development Plan and communicating messages from the Regional Learning & Development centres.
  • Human Resources support to all staff including recruitments, inductions for new staff and End of Employments. Working closely with the Regional Human Resources Hub.
  • Keeping up to date with Local Labour Law and FCO policy and updating management, HR Hub, policy and staff accordingly; providing advice accordingly.
  • Preparing Staff’s monthly payroll including reports to National Insurance and Pension companies.
  • Line Manager of Protocol & Transport Manager and Countersigning Officer of 5 drivers.
  • Qualified Hashav Sachar (Payroll Accountant)
  • One year experience preparing and submitting payrolls with Michpal (payslip software) and reporting to National Insurance and Pension companies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Proven organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Good Presentation Skills
  • Flexibility
  • Strong IT skills, including the ability to learn new programmes quickly.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Hebrew, both at mother tongue level.

The Embassy aims to offer an attractive working environment and remuneration package for this role, including the salary of ILS 10,954 per month, plus transport allowance and social benefits. Parking facilities will not be provided or paid for by the Embassy.

No accommodation or relocation expenses are payable in connection with this position.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:00 – 16:00 and Friday 8:00-13:30.

The appointment will be subject to security clearance and a probationary period of two months. This fixed term contract will be for six months in the first instance, with a possibility of extending to 9 months.

Starting date is 12th June 2017.
