Main purpose of job:


Working with the Strategic Accounts Manager you will be responsible for assisting our Trade Promotion efforts for British and Brazilian companies, aiming at increasing UK exports and supporting inward and outward investment.


You will assist the development and management of a pipeline of commercial opportunities in Brazil for UK companies with particular focus on, but not limited to, Food & Drink and Retail. You will also provide support to the regional Head of ODI & Strategic Accounts in the delivery of presentation, documents and plans for Latin America & the Caribbean. You will also be responsible for the team’s administrative tasks and for regularly updating our client-management database.


Roles and responsibilities:

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work on improving bilateral trade and investment between the United Kingdom and Brazil, especially through supporting the increase in UK exports. The Strategic Accounts Team works to support High Value UK and Brazilian companies with significant trade potential as well as large UK investors in Brazil.

You will be responsible for supporting the Strategic Accounts Manager to account manage a pipeline of at least 20 companies as well researching and validating new accounts that meet the High Value criteria. Your success in this position will be measured on the value of exports and direct investment you assist British companies to achieve in the Brazilian market. These companies will be clustered around the Food & Drink and Retail sectors.

You will support the delivery of a number of high profile events, visits and marketing campaigns in Brazil. This position will see you exposed to ministers and high profile contacts in the private sector; therefore, a high level of resilience and professionalism are essential.

You will also provide operational support to the regional Head of ODI & Strategic Accounts, such as producing presentations, papers for discussion and templates for use in Latin America & the Caribbean. In addition, you will support the core functions of the team, leading budget management, overseeing an intern, and keeping our internal client-management system updated.

The position will suit an energetic, motivated self-starter with an interest in the commercial sector. It will require a positive and proactive attitude that thinks in terms of unlocking opportunities for UK companies in Brazil.

  • University Degree in International Relations
  • Business Administration
  • Economics and related areas
  • 2 years minimum experience in business development and/or client relationship management role
  • Outstanding command of MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)




Language: English and Portuguese

Level of language required: Fluent in both languages
