The British Embassy in Tallinn is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to recruit a Security Guard.

As a security guard you will be responsible for providing an alert guard presence at all times in the British Embassy.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide polite and professional service for Embassy visitors and customers face-to-face and by telephone
  • Monitor CCTV
  • Conduct routine checks
  • Provide help for the Embassy staff
  • Work within guard force team 
  • Proficient level of English and Estonian both written and spoken, B1-B2 level according to the CEFR framework*.
  • Previous security work experience minimum 1 year.
  • Previous experience of working with customers.
  • Russian language skills would be an advantage.

This is a full-time permanent contract.

The annual leave entitlement is 22 working days per year pro rata and the Embassy enjoys an average of 14 public holidays per year.

The successful candidate will be subject to confirmation of a background check and security clearance.
