Residence Coordinator

The British Embassy, Riyadh has a vacancy for a Residence Manager, Grade A2 (L).

Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for line-managing the residence staff and ensure effective running of day to day business within the Residence. Organise all wider Embassy events, as well as external events held at the residence.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Events

  • Lead on all external and wider embassy department events.
  • Organise house guests bookings and liaise with the residence staff.
  • Execute all the logistics of the events taking place at the Residence in liaison with the different departments of the embassy.
  • Manage guest lists and invitations.

Residence

  • Line manage residence team – 5 staff.
  • Reconcile all the payment related to the Residence -  Residence accounts/finance reconciliation.
  • Maintenance issues - in and outside the residence.

  • Delivering at Pace - Check own and team performance against outcomes, make improvement suggestions or take corrective action when problems are identified.

Essential:

  • Previous experience in handling events.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Strong IT computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet

Desirable:   

  • Written and spoken Arabic language skills.

Working Hours and Remuneration:

The Embassy aims to offer an attractive working environment and remuneration package for this role including:

Salary details:

  • Base Salary including Eid Bonus – SAR. 5,373.33/-
  • * Housing Allowance – SAR. 1,343.33/- (subject to eligibility)*
  • * Travel Allowance- SAR. 400/-(subject to eligibility)*

 *Allowances are not payable to staff who receive official provision for such expenditure in some other form.

No accommodation and relocation expenses are payable in connection with this position.

Normal working hours for the Embassy are 08.00 to 15.00 Sunday to Thursday.  This position is full-time, based on 35 hours per week. The successful candidate must be flexible to work weekends and evenings for major events. This is a full time fixed term contract for one year.

The successful candidate will be subject to a 6 month probationary period. 

Eligibility:

The position is only available to holders of Saudi residence permits or transferable Iqamas, and successful candidates will be required to transfer their sponsorship to the British Embassy.
