Security
  • To provide layered security defences in regards to access control by Embassy staff and visitors alike to ensure the Embassy’s security integrity is maintained at all times
  • Responsible for locking and unlocking procedures
  • Supervise contractors as and when required
  • Monitor the CCTV and alarm systems
  • Provide escorts as and when required for events within the Residence in protection of Her Majesty's Ambassador
  • Being the Embassy's first point of contact (phone or physical) during silent hours
  • Handle UK Nationals in difficulty in accordance with procedures
  • Additionally all reasonable duties as directed by Embassy management
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in related field and/or Customer Service
  • Minimum High School Diploma Level
  • Relevant working experience with layered security standards and processes including locking and unlocking procedures, CCTV, alarm systems and monitoring accessof premises by staff and visitors
  • Fluent English and Azeri language skills (both written and spoken)

 

  • Working with others - ability to work both in a team and autonomously
  • Problem-solving - a cool head, common sense and decisiveness are all necessary qualities for the job
  • Customer focus - must be courteous and polite while helping customers including British Nationals  that may have problems
  • Good IT skills for Excel and Outlook

This is a permanent fulltime position of five working days, 40 hours net per week.

The salary is USD 845.30 gross per month and shall be paid in AZN monthly.

Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Azerbaijan is subject to Terms and Conditions of Service of the FCO according to local labour legislation.
