This role will sit within the British Embassy’s Economic Climate and Science team (ECS) and the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the team’s work across a wide portfolio of programmes and diplomacy initiatives related to the climate and nature agenda.
The successful candidate will work on a matrix management scheme, reporting to different team leaders at the same time and will work across multiple and evolving environments. The position is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in diplomacy and international cooperation, while learning about multiple subjects of the environmental agenda, supporting programme and project management and the delivery of diplomatic initiatives. The role will also work closely with different teams across the Embassy (FCDO), as well as liaise with other relevant UK government departments.
The successful candidate should have the ability to perform in tight deadlines, managing various pieces of work at the same time, with attention to detail and in an organised manner. This position will report to the TEFOS Delivery Officer and the Economic Diplomacy Officer.
Language: Fluency in both Spanish and English required.

The successful candidate must be in the last years of undergraduate studies. It is mandatory that the candidates are students with availability of at least 6 months before their graduation date to complete the internship. The internship must be a requirement for obtaining the degree.

The successful candidate will have to go through a background check process, according to Embassy policies.

Working hours: Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:00, Friday 08:30 – 13:30
