FMCU (Facilities Management Client Unit)

To provide support to the Head of Global Building Compliance and the Head of Operations Asia Pacific for activities relating to the demobilisation of the current facilities management maintenance and the subsequent remobilisation of the new generation FM contract.

Provide central focus for the current contractors’ Exit Team, driving activities, reviewing and validating documentation against agreed standards to ensure all necessary documentation is provided and accurate.

Review existing contractual requirements, understand the output requirements, and ensure full adherence to the service specification is achieved through ongoing audit, review and governance structures.

Provide technical support to the wider FMCU Asia Pacific team members across all aspects of the facilities management contract requirements including planned and reactive activities as well as project works.

 

Roles and responsibilities: 

The current Asia Pacific facilities management contract encompassing maintenance and support tasks across the region is due to expire in 2021 and a new replacement contract will be introduced in its place. The successful candidate will be required to lead on all activities for the FMCU related to the contract demobilisation and subsequent contract remobilisation over the next 24 month period.

Activities will include ensuring that all contractual requirements and obligations are fully met during the demobilisation period, all documentation and information is provided in the correct format, is checked and validated and that the clients’ obligations are fully dispersed as part of the process.

The successful candidate will need to be fully conversant with technical standards and associated contractual documentation in order to provide the necessary assurance prior to sign off by others.

Final demobilisation activities will then dovetail with remobilisation of the new FM contract at which time the successful candidate will be required to work closely with the service partner to successfully mobilise the contract outputs in a live environment with no detrimental impact on front line services.  

The successful candidate will be required to provide support and technical advice to the wider FMCU team as required, ensuring contract standards and outputs are fully achieved. Where technical challenges are raised, the APAC compliance manager will be required to work autonomously to seek acceptable resolutions to achieve FCO requirements. 

The client operates against robust suite of property standards and the APAC compliance manager will be required to develop a very strong working understanding of the standards and ensure that the service partner is fully meeting of the requirements deemed necessary. 

Strong technical/engineering skills are desirable as is experience mobilising/demobilising large scale facilities management contracts.
