Main purpose of job:

Job holder will be appointed as Assistant Carpenter at the Estates department with good knowledge of carpentry work to carry out Day to Day Maintenance work, refurbishment and repair works for all on and off compound office and lease properties.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

The incumbent under the supervision of Supervisor Building and Civil Engineering in Estates department will be responsible for Carpentry task to construct, alter, repair and modify buildings and structures, fittings, panel partitions and other wood or wood substitute components or the installation, Maintenance and repairs of furniture, doors, windows, dry wall partitions etc. at all BHC office and on or off compound lease properties (Approx..70houses) and other duties as per assigned by his line manager /CSO. 

Knowledge of working with saw cutting machines & other Machineries used for wooden works.

To Execute work requests timely based on the nature of the work and as per priority and time. Job holder must have knowledge of all kind woods, dry partitions, fittings and other modern techniques. 

To assist in refurbishment work by checking of existing carpentry fixtures and facilities as per BHC norms. To thoroughly check the property in terms of carpentry works to be done before handing over. Every fixtures & fittings to be checked for defects and repaired promptly. 

Stock taking and Disposal:- Periodically setting up of stores and preparing inventory of carpentry and miscellaneous items.

Language requirements:  

Language: limited knowledge of English (Speaking/reading/writing) is required. 

Level of language required:  Good knowledge of Hindi (Speaking/reading/writing) is required.

Essential on arrival:

10 year working experience in field of Carpentry or five years experience with ITI from govt. recognised institution

For other than BHC candidates, salary will be INR 23,424 per month plus 12% provident fund and 6% SuperAnnuation Fund.
