Main purpose of job:

To provide administrative and project support to the West Africa   Regional Prosperity Network.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?:

Across West Africa,   the Foreign & Commonwealth Office Prosperity network aims to support host countries in their   efforts to drive inclusive and sustainable economic growth while creating   opportunities for UK businesses in the region.

 

We are recruiting an administive and project   assistant to join the team. The   job holder will be based in Accra and is expected to provide administrative support   to the Network and handle day to day management of projects in Ghana. This will   include:

 

  1. Proactively maintaining West Africa   Prosperity Network intranet pages
  2. Collating and managing an effective   list of stakeholders across the region
  3. Helping to compile reports by conducting   desk based research and coordinating returns
  4. Coordinating meetings and maintaining   action logs
  5. Relationship   manager for projects based in Ghana
  6. Planning and delivering events and visits to support   prosperity activity in the region
  7. Provide administrative support to   the 2nd Secretary for Prosperity in developing futher project work   across the region.

We are   looking for a proactive self-starter who is flexible and able to manage   competing prisorites effectively.

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s   Degree or equivalent
  • Must have at least   12 months work experience in an office environment
  • Must have strong knowledge   of MS Office programmes (Word/Excel/Powerpoint)
  • Must be able to   work unsupervised
  • Must have good   communication skills
  • Knowledge of   Economics, Trade/Commercial work is desirable
