Main purpose of job:

Support the energy and infrastructure team tasks including but not exclusive to administrative affairs, visit and event organising, and commercial activities delivery.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?:

  • Work with UK companies to understand their business objectives in Indonesia and formulate plans to help them to achieve
  • Deliver tailored services to companies such as identifying potential partners or distributors, arranging visit programmes, and/or carrying out market research
  • Carry out research to address ad-hoc enquiries by UK companies
  • Help deliver major projects in relevant sectors by developing contacts in key organisations and delivering planned activity
  • Organise activities such as webinars, trade missions, and visits to exhibitions by drawing up guest lists, liaising with guests, preparing presentations, coordinating delivery partners, and making logistical arrangements
  • Attend trade exhibitions to promote Indonesian business opportunities to UK companies, facilitate introductions, and develop their sector knowledge on energy and infrastructure
  • Help promote DIT activities at post to UK companies via marketing channels
  • Perform other administrative tasks including but not limited to: recording assistance to companies on DIT’s online customer relationship management database; uploading business opportunities onto DIT’s online portal for UK business; maintaining up to date records; arranging meeting with DIT stakeholders
  • Other tasks required to deliver wider DIT and Embassy objectives, including support on high-profile Embassy events for VIP visitors

 

 


  •  At least graduate of a bachelor’s degree
  • At least 1 year relevant sales, marketing, and/or business development work experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications, use of email, the internet, ability to write effectively and work with figures
  • A self-starter, able to work independently and on their own initiative to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A proven track record of successfully dealing with international and Indonesian companies
  • Experience in organising high-quality business events, international correspondence
