View Vacancy - Regional Business Analyst (ITA569)
The British Embassy in Rome is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking for a motivated Regional Business Analyst.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) leads UK law enforcement's fight to cut serious and organised crime. The NCA has national and international reach and facilitates cooperation between UK and International Law Enforcement Agencies. Within the NCA International Network, Rome is set a Regional Hub and this position is necessary to provide adequate support to the Regional Manager. The person recruited for this role will be responsible for carrying out a range of administrative duties as well as a variety of other tasks detailed below.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support Regional Manager by preparing expenditure reporting as required;
- Support the Regional Manager in preparing performance reports and collating other management information as required;
- Collate materials for tactical, thematic and strategic reporting;
- Assistance in general support duties (e.g. travel arrangements and meetings).
Previous work experience in a Law Enforcement Environment;
Familiarity with Law Enforcement practices and terminology;
Good IT skills and ability to use quantitative and qualitative analysis of data;
Meet the requirements to obtain high level UK Security clearance;
Flexible approach and ability to work to changing requirements;
Good team player;
- Fluent spoken and written English.
This is a part-time temporary position with a contract of one year, graded at A2 as per the FCO grading structure. The contract will be reviewed towards the end of the term with a possibility of extending for an additional 12 months.
The monthly gross salary is Euro 1.563. The salary is paid monthly 14 times per year including € 10.33 EDR paid 13 times per year.
Working hours are 25 hrs per week Monday to Friday. Some degree of flexibility is expected.
Confirmation of the job is subject on a four month probation and the successful completion of a security clearance and references check process.
All staff employed by the British Embassy in Rome are subject to Italian income tax rate deductions (IRPEF). However the administration of these tax payments will vary depending on nationality.
The successful candidate will be enrolled in the Italian State Social Security Scheme.
Staff recruited locally by the British Consulate General Milan are subject to terms and conditions of service according to local Italian employment law.
