Main purpose of job:

Assisting IT Manager to provide IT support to staff and act as local Help Desk support responding to queries, including support of telecommunications and video-conferencing.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Assisting IT Manager to provide support to end user devices and act as local Help Desk support for both DFID and FCO UK government IT systems, responding to queries, including support of telecommunications and video-conferencing.
  • Supervise maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Asset Management - Monthly mobile, ECHO phones, DSTV and internet bills.
  • Management of inventory for phones, dongles, and other IT equipment.
  • Manage IT Stores Inventory.
  • Relevant working experience as an IT Assistant for an International Organisation, diplomatic mission or company.
  • Qualification or degree in IT or HND, computer networking, hardware and internet operation.
  • Priority will be given to applicants who have had previous or current experience working in that capacity at a diplomatic mission, DFID or International Organisation in Sierra Leone.
  • Ability to work in a team, and strong customer focus skills.
  • Knowledge of Database management (MS Access; SQL).
