View Vacancy - MNL - Regional Pay and Benefits Officer (Compensation Analyst), A2 (L)
The Regional Pay and Benefits Officer will provide support and act as the main point of contact in the salary review process. The role will also be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll for Local Staff working at British Embassies, High Commissions, and other offices located in the Asia Pacific Region and will report to the Regional Pay and Benefits Manager.
Roles and responsibilities:
Service Delivery & Reporting (50%)
- Provide support in the salary review process by coordinating with the salary benchmarking consultant/vendor, preparing salary worksheets and performing basic analyses with guidance from the Pay and Benefits Manager
- Ensure accurate processing of payroll on a monthly basis, including all starters, leavers, changes in staff information, and relevant deductions
- Produce and analyse regular and ad hoc payroll reports for the HR Hub and the Posts
- Implement Payroll Business Continuity Plan responsibilities
Quality (15%)
- Interpret HR policies and procedures and apply them to pay and benefits, where applicable
- Act as first Point of Contact (POC) in payroll and deal promptly with client or staff issues and concerns to satisfactory solution
- Perform Root Cause Analysis including implementation of mitigation, preventive action, and solution
Communication (15%)
- Answer enquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders applying strong pro-active customer service skills
- Create positive relationships with stakeholders, influencing outcomes and building effective networks.
Innovation (15%)
- Identify further improvements and changes to Pay and Benefits processes to ensure delivery of quality service and continued service improvement (e.g. process streamlining, automation)
Learning & Development (5%)
- Participate in individual and team Learning and Development activities as an active team member and take on other team projects as necessary
- 2-4 years compensation design and delivery experience
- Proficiency in all MS Office applications
- Strong numerical capability and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to produce/analyse data/reports and Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to work in an accurate and organised manner

- Bachelor’s/College Degree in Finance, Business, Human Resource Management, or other related course
- Experience in handling compensation reports and total rewards survey
- Experience in working with payroll projects, transition, or handling of new accounts
- Experience working in a Multinational/ Shared Service Organisation/ Regional set-up
