View Vacancy - Security Guard (GEO22.286)
The British Embassy in Tbilisi is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking for a S2 Security Guard for security guarding of the Embassy premises, its staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will provide security coverage and guarding of the Embassy and the Ambassador’s residence.
Roles and responsibilities:
The core duties of a Security Guard are as follows but are not limited to:
- The protection of staff, property, premises and resources by point guarding and foot patrolling;
- The control of entry into the Embassy and Ambassador’s Residence;
- To patrol the Embassy perimeter and estate;
- Event Security;
- Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems;
- Radio Communications;
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, which includes checking ID and appointment bookings;
- Issuing and husbandry of visitors passes;
- Removal and storage of electronic devices and mobile phones;
- The receiving and scanning of general mail and the scanning of suspicious objects;
- Escorting of visitors;
- The prevention of loss and waste of resources;
- The deterrence and prevention of crime;
- To respond to emergencies.
- Fluent in English and Georgian, including excellent writing skills (written and spoken, minimum of B1 level for CEFR framework*)
- At least one year of experience in security (including private sector), Police or Military forces
- Experience with access control, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems and physical security check
- Basic IT Skills
- Experience in international organisations
- Knowledge of Russian language is desirable (written and spoken, B1 level for CEFR framework*)
This is a full-time, permanent contract, 42 hours per week. The gross monthly salary is 1998 GEL. Please note that staff members are responsible for paying any income tax and state pension contributions required by local law.
The successful candidate will be subject to a professional background check and security clearance.
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Tbilisi is subject to local Terms and Conditions of Service.
