View Vacancy - Security Guard (GEO23.267)
Who are we:
The British Embassy in Tbilisi is part of a worldwide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and we are now looking for a Security Guard, S2 grade in Tbilisi. This is a full time, permanent position.
The jobholder will be responsible for guarding of the embassy and the Ambassador’s Residence.
What is the role about:
The core duties of a Security Guard are as follows but are not limited to:
- The protection of staff, property and premises by point-guarding and foot patrolling
- The control of entry into the Embassy and the Ambassador's Residence
- Event Security
- Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems; and radio communications
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, to include checking ID and appointment bookings
- Issuing and husbandry of visitors passes
- Handling and storage of visitors’ electronic devices and mobile phones
- The receiving and scanning of general mail and the scanning of suspicious objects
- Escorting of visitors
- Respond to any emergencies situations that occur on the Embassy or Residence premises
Our ideal candidate shows:
- At least 1 year of experience in Security (including private sector), Police or Military forces
- Basic experience with access control, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems and physical security check
- Basic IT Skills
It will be a plus:
- Similar working experience in international or foreign organisations
- Attended a training in Security, First Aid and/or Health and Safety
This is a full-time, permanent position. The gross monthly salary is GEL 2110.

The successful candidate will be subject to a professional background check and security clearance.
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Tbilisi is subject to local Terms and Conditions of Service.
