The GREAT Britain Campaign is seeking a creative, flexible, resilient individual with a proven ability to cope under pressure for this demanding, but exciting role. The Campaign Manager will join the US team in New York.  The GREAT campaign encourages the world to visit, study, invest in and do business with the UK.  As part of the UKTI North America Marketing team, this position will be responsible for managing particular projects focusing primarily on business-to-business activities – with projects designed to support UK companies expanding to the US as well as US businesses looking to grow internationally.   The Campaign Manager is one of two project managers and will report to the Head of the GREAT Campaign North America, also based in New York.  

This role is being offered for a full-time, fixed term period of 12 months with a potential to become permanent.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Project management - 85%

  • Lead, manage and execute particular strands of the GREAT campaign USA, predominantly but not exclusively, in the Tech and Advanced Engineering & Manufacturing (AEM) sectors.  Collaborate with colleagues across the US, in London and with external partners to ensure delivery of campaigns.
  • Build marketing campaigns from agreed strategies.  Identify opportunities to reach business audience, plan and coordinate use of GREAT campaign assets with network. Identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure the brand is used appropriately and that projects adhere to governance and reporting requirements and represent value for money. 
  • Manage budgets for projects by working in close co-ordination with GREAT campaign and network colleagues to provide regular and accurate financial information. 

Communications - 15%

  • Serve as secretary to the US GREAT Board by recording minutes and following up on action points.
  • Compiling monthly network highlights for senior readership in London and leading on internal communications from the team. 

Other ad-hoc duties as needed.  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, government relations, or a similar field
  • Minimum of four years relevant experience in a marketing, communications or related government role
  • Excellent team-working and interpersonal skills, including experience of working with senior level officials and executives
  • Ability to communicate quickly, thoroughly, and effectively with remote stakeholders. 
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability in project management and strong communications skills as well as working with multiple stakeholders and partners.  He/she will be comfortable managing resources and following complex processes and procedures and have a keen eye for detail.

The target salary for this position is $65,416 annualized.  Salary will be confirmed upon offer of employment. Individuals who are Green Card holders, UK/US dual citizens, and non US taxpaying citizens will be paid a net salary based on a simulated US tax status.
