Main purpose of job:
Reporting to the Corporate Services and Security Officer, the successful applicant will be one of two drivers responsible for driving the High Commissioner and Deputy High Commissioner. In addition, they will be required to drive other High Commission staff to appointments, ad-hoc procurement, the transportation of official visitors and assisting the Corporate Services team with office task as required. The applicant will also be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the High Commission vehicle fleet.
The driver will be required to undertake additional tasks as requested by the High Commissioner, Deputy High Commissioner, PSM, and CSM, with the need to be flexible.

Proficient in English.
This is a 3-year fixed term contract, which may be renewable subject to annual funding approval.
Appointment is subject to a six-month probation period and maintaining Posts security clearance requirements.
Open to Fiji citizens, permanent residents. Interstate applicants will be required to meet their own travel and relocation expenses. No accommodation or relocation expenses are payable in connection with this position.
Staff recruited locally by the High Commission are subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Fiji employment law.

Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:15, Friday 08:00 – 13:00 – this role will require overtime including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
