Main purpose of job:
Job holder will be appointed as Assistant Plumber at the Estates department with basic knowledge of plumbing works to carry out Day to Day Maintenance work, refurbishment and repair works for all on and off compound properties.
Roles and responsibilities:
To execute work requests timely based on the nature of the work and as per priority and time (i.e. Day-to-Day Maintenance & Refurbishment Projects). This will include all kind plumbing related work like laying new pipelines, installation of pressure pump, installation of all kind of plumbing fittings & fixtures as and when required basis. Good knowledge of Copper, GI, UPCV & PVC pipes, fittings & their working along with joining techniques. To ensure that all work requests are promptly closed as soon as the work is completed.
To assist in refurbishment works by checking of existing plumbing fixtures and facilities, to do desilting of fixtures as per BHC norms. To thoroughly check the property in terms of plumbing works to be done before handing over. Every fixtures to be checked for defects and repaired promptly.
Stock taking and Disposal: Periodically setting up of stores and preparing inventory of plumbing and miscellaneous items.
Language requirements:
Language: Hindi and English
Level of language required: Good command on Hindi and able to communicate in English
Essential on arrival: Plumber skills. Knowledge of Fixtures and fittings.
Education: ITI in Plumbing
Experience: one-year experience in equivalent field.
SALARY PACKAGE
For British High Commission (BHC) candidates, the Local Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.
For other than BHC candidates, salary will be INR 19,309 per month together with a 12% provident fund and 6% Superannuation Fund.
