Main purpose of job

The successful candidate will support the Embassy’s Health and Education Team to deliver the British Government’s objectives in these two complex policy areas in Mexico.

This is a varied and challenging position which links to a wide range of policy and project-related tasks. The work will primarily be analytical and logistical / administrative, with opportunities for high-level networking within and outside the British Government, as well as for providing support to the successful organisation of events and missions/delegations. It will involve contact with most sections of the Embassy.


Roles and responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct qualitative research and analysis on Education and Health-related subjects, which will support the strategic design and implementation of the British Government’s substantial programmes in these fields.

He/she will have the opportunity to provide logistical support for high-level international events and to senior members of staff. Database creation and management will also be part of the role.

High-level networking opportunities will be available for the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Health and Education Team and will be vital in helping the British Embassy deliver high-quality outcomes in these areas.

All employees in the Embassy network are expected, as part of their job, to contribute towards the corporate activity of the organisation.


Studying or has studied an undergraduate degree in Education or Health-related subjects

Language: Competent level of English required

Level of language required: Band 6 in IELTS or equivalent   


Experience in International Relations (for example experience of working internationally as part of their studies, university conferences etc.)
