View Vacancy - Maintenance assistant ( SWE18.167a)
The British Embassy in Stockholm is part of a worldwide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking for a Maintenance assistant.
The role sits within the Corporate Services Team and reports directly to the Deputy Corporate Services Manager. You are responsible for delivery of maintenance and repair works; in line with guidance issued by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Roles and responsibilities:
Routine maintenance and inspections, repairs and minor project works for office, residential accommodation and grounds are carried out in an effective and efficient manner. Liaising with internal stakeholders and contractors as necessary.
Perform, document and record Estate Property Inspections and Hazard Risk Assessments for Residential and non-Residential accommodation.
Office & Events set up: Event Support at the Embassy and Ambassador’s Residence.
Other: Relief driver
- 3-5 years documented experience of similar tasks (credentials are required to be presented at interview stage)– janitor/handyman or with facilities –management.
- Working knowledge of ventilation, heating, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Service oriented and able to manage clients expectations.
- IT literate ie proficient in using Microsoft office Suite.
- Proactive and flexible with a “Can do attitude”.
- Positive and flexible outlook.
- To be highly organised and a team-player.
- The ability to speak and write both English and Swedish.
- A clean driving license.
Practical painting and building experience, knowledge of TAC system used to monitor heating system.
