Main purpose of job:

To provide leadership, direction and support to the existing enrichment team members conducting enrichment activities. To constantly review the existing enrichment activities and evaluate their value, relevance and contribution to the ECO’s decision and where applicable make the necessary changes to the enrichment activities being undertaken.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Monitor incoming/outgoing applications using recording spreadsheet
  • Ensure chasers are sent when required
  • Ensuring applications do not go over 15 days/ensure they are deferred appropriately them when they do           
  • Oversee the Visa Assistants workload, ensure that resourcing is sufficient
  • Assist with enrichment work- e.g verification, requests for child applications etc
  • Train new Visa Assistants to the enrichment team
  • Effectively lead the Enrichment team and work with the existing team leaders concerning staffing and operational demands
  • Provide operational updates
  • Analysis of the data generated from the checks and evaluate its impact and or relevance to the decision
  • Send checks to the Passports Office for Right of Abode applications and update Proviso with responses
  • Send checks to Lost and Stolen Biometric Residency Permits team for replacement BRP applications
  • Conduct I search checks on returning residents
  • Conduct travel checks on returning residents (to confirm last date left UK)
  • Conduct adhoc travel checks for Visa Officers
  • Advise when National Health Service checks are appropriate if necessary and send when Off Sen account required
  • Conduct I search on UK sponsors for streamed family visit applications
  • Cleared to Official Sensitive - Holds one of the following passports: UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.

  • UKVI operates between 7am and 5.15 pm Monday to Thursday and 7 am until 4 pm on a Friday. The successful candidate will be expected to work their required 8 hours within that time frame, with start times dependent upon operational requirements. The incoming job holder will have very limited leave available to them throughout their contracted time with UKVI.
