Main purpose of job:     

Provide direct support to Heads of Estates and Finance Section to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of finance services including effective budget management, monitoring financial performance and compliance indicators, invoice and purchase order management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Finance officer will be responsible for effective delivery of finance functions in Estates Department of Corporate services, ensuring consistent level of financial compliance and budget management, supporting the head of finance in day to day operations and coordinating with Estates Supervisors and Head for budget management, forecasting and supporting them to keep financial performance compliance indicators green, providing finance query resolution to Estates colleagues, conducting finance training and monthly finance meetings with Estates supervisors, providing support to partners at the post for Estates finance and supporting head of finance in preparation of Management information for Estates budget. An ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance as well as a willingness to learn and develop, experience in budgeting and reporting is preferable. The role will involve: 

Monthly Budget Management- The candidate will be responsible for budget amendment and forecast on Hyperion for Estates budget, coordinating with Estates head and Supervisors to ensure timely submission of inputs and promoting the budgets and forecast. Monthly analysis of Spend Vs Budget and providing support to head of Finance for analysis of Estates budgets. Conducting meetings with Estates team for monthly spending reviews of their budgets. Analysis of Action plan forecasting submitted by Delhi Estates team. 

OBIEE Reporting:  Monthly analysis of OBIEE dashboards and housekeeping of Estates Delhi Spend, provide support and escalate on time any anomalies noticed in the budgets for Estates. Providing Training to Estates staff for managing budgets for their respective area. 

Procurement Finance- Performing analysis for all Estates Delhi contract to check the financial impact of every contract, liaising with Estates team to make sure the number forecasted should match with contract costing. Provide support to Estates staff for correcting the cost included in contracts if required. 

Financial Performance and Compliance Indicators- Monthly housekeeping of Delhi Estates financial transactions and liaising with Deputy Head of Finance to ensure there are no pending transaction for FPCI’s. 

OAR and Cash Funding- Preparing Accounting return and Cash funding profile for Delhi Estates section when required by Head of Finance. 

Invoice Management- Keeping records of Invoices and submitting the GST return to Accounts receivable officer and ensuring all invoices are included as part of the return to Accounts Receivable. Assisting the requisitioning officer to make sure the requisitions are properly accounted. 

Any Other Business- Financial activities related to Estates, Monthly reporting, Invoice analysis and PO analysis.

Language requirements:  

Language: English 

Level of language required: Spoken and Written-Fluent  

Essential on arrival:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Finance, preferably Financial planning in Corporate Finance
  • Experience of managing high quality Finance processes.
  • Graduate in any discipline.
