View Vacancy - Assistant to the UK Liaison Prosecutor (Magistrate) (FRA22.501)
The Assistant to the UK Liaison Prosecutor will work with the latter to assist her in all aspects of her role to facilitate judicial cooperation in criminal matters between the UK and France. The Liaison Prosecutor works with UK law enforcement and prosecution agencies to ensure effective investigative and prosecution outcomes in the UK and France and develop and improve relationships with French partners. The Liaison Prosecutor’s work can sometimes involve providing support to UK prosecution and law enforcement authorities with casework in jurisdictions outside of France. The assistant may also be required to support such work. The assistant will work closely with the UK Liaison Prosecutor to provide administrative and organisational assistance including: providing French language support (primarily written, but sometimes oral), ensure that the extensive and varied caseload is adequately managed and reports and records are kept up-to-date, and attend meetings with UK and French partners. This is a full-time (35 hours per week) fixed-term position for 12 months with possibility of renewal.
All appointments are subject to professional background check satisfactory security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to provide a copy of his/her passport or national identity card for all nationalities held, an up-to-date criminal record (casier judiciaire) for recent countries of residence (which can be obtained online at https://www.cjn.justice.gouv.fr/cjn/b3/eje20 ), two written proofs of address (utility invoices and/or bank statements) and two references.
