View Vacancy - Trade Advisor A1, Sofia (BGR433) (INTERNAL VACANCY ONLY)
The British Embassy in Sofia is part of a worldwide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now offering a Trade Advisor opportunity in the Department for International Trade (DIT).
The Department for International Trade (DIT) is the UK Government organisation that helps UK-based companies to succeed in Bulgaria and other international markets. DIT also assists overseas companies to bring high-quality investment to the UK’s economy.
The successful jobholder will assist UK companies to succeed in Bulgaria by identifying relevant business opportunities, engaging with UK companies and local stakeholders, and ultimately helping to secure export business.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Trade & Investment and the rest of the DIT Sofia team;
- Help with organising meetings, visits and events;
- Respond to general phone, email and letter enquiries from both British and Bulgarian companies and organizations in order to support trade activity.
- Fluency in English and Bulgarian (both oral and written);
- Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work in a team;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- University undergraduate or graduate, preferably in business, economics, management or marketing;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Previous work experience.
This is a part-time position (30 hours per week) for six months.
The successful candidate will receive a monthly salary of BGN 1112 BGN.
The successful candidate will be subject to confirmation of a background and security clearance.
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy are subject to terms and conditions service according to Bulgarian employment law.
