Main purpose of job:
The Communications and Public Diplomacy intern will support the delivery of Embassy events and communication campaigns, including the Great British Festival.
The successful candidate will work work as part of the British Embassy’s Public Diplomacy Team. Under the direction of the Digital Diplomacy Officer, the candidate is responsible for the development of multimedia content for Embassy channels, and contribute to the planning and delivery of cultural diplomacy campaigns. We encourage interns to propose creative and innovative ideas to support the delivery of high-quality, impactful campaigns for the British Embassy’s audience.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve:
• Strong, proven skills in digital content creation, copywriting, content management, social listening and web editing. • Highly skilled at graphic design, including experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator or equivalent. • Highly skilled at photography, videography and editing, including experience using Adobe Premiere or equivalent.• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Strong understanding of design concepts and ability to adapt to latest digital trends. • Be proactive and able to learn quickly.
The role being advertised is a full-time internship for six (6) months, with a stipend of PhP 10,500 per month.
Working Hours:
There can be some flexibility in the work pattern. The intern may be required to work beyond normal office hours.

Employment offers are subject to successful clearance of pre-employment checks. Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy Manila is subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Philippine employment law.
No accommodation or relocation expenses are payable in connection with this position. All candidates must be legally able to work and reside in the country of the vacancy with the correct visa/work permit status or demonstrate eligibility to obtain the relevant permit. Any costs related to obtaining or renewing permits and visas are the responsibility of the successful applicant.
Employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary may have their salaries reduced by the equivalent local income tax amount.
