Main purpose of job:
To provide safe and professional driving services. The post holder will be expected to transport UKBS to appointments, meetings and other events across Karachi and potentially Sindh province. In addition the driver will need to be aware of and assess local environmental conditions that may impact upon the security/safety of a journey. The post holder will be expected to inspect and prepare vehicles to a roadworthy standard include routine cleaning.

Working patterns:
Required to work 48 gross hours per week plus overtime as necessary. The core hours will operate between 8am – 6pm daily with flexibility required depending upon operational need. Additional evening and weekend hours will be required to meet the needs of the office.

The candidate must have a detailed working knowledge of Karachi with regards to being able to navigate across the city and respond to unforeseen circumstances that may require emergency route planning and evasive action.
Selected candidate shall be appointed after his medical clearance by an authorised medical centre.
Selected candidate will have to go through the Police and FCO vetting before assuming the appointment.

For other than BHC candidates the basic salary will be PKR 92,809 per month. This salary is non-negotiable.
Please note that the current salaries are being dollarized and processed in USD (using a fixed corporate exchange rate from November 2022) to provide cushion against the current external market conditions. This is a temporary measure and is subject to review at regular intervals. The payroll will revert to local currency processing once the external market conditions are normalised.
