View Vacancy - Entry Clearance Assistant

Main purpose of job:
To provide administrative support to the Entry Clearance Officers and managers in providing a high quality efficient visa application processing system to meet published customer service standards.
Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve:
- Oversee the visa application delivery / collection process from the Commercial Partner (CP)
- Completing vignette production, Iinvolving the printing off vignettes and sticking them into passports ensuring the details match the passport holder
- Keeping accurate records and maintaining databases using MS Office applications
- Management of documents
- Printing and packing of letters and notices
- Customer service engagement for VIP and Diplomatic applications that present themselves to the Visa section for priority processing (DAT)
- Accurately respond to electronic, phone and written enquiries from customers and other stakeholders within benchmark timescales and in line with customer service standards.
- Participate fully in the appraisal process.
- Participate in ad hoc tasks in support of specific activities or projects or to cover absences on other desks as directed by the Team Leader.
- The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Excellent spoken and written English. Please submit with your application either an IELTS certificate at a minimum of level 6.5 or an equivalent qualification, or evidence of secondary/higher education in the medium of English. It is not necessary to provide this proof if you are a citizen of an English speaking country or if you are already employed at the British Embassy.
- Computer literate with accurate typing skills of at least 25 words per minute and experience of Microsoft Office Applications.
- The ability to work quickly and reliably with little supervision and meet challenging targets on a daily basis.
- Adaptable and flexible with a positive attitude to change
- Proven ability to work quickly and accurately in a target driven environment, prioritising key tasks as necessary.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Salary Details:
For BHC candidates, the Local BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.
For other than BHC candidates, Basic Salary will be PKR 67,867.
