Main purpose of job:

The Human Resources (HR) team currently leads on the people strategy and HR operation for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s Brazil Network. As a team, we are in charge of ensuring the Brazil Network’s is well assisted on HR matters, by developing and implementing projects, advising the Heads of Section, line managers and the Brazil Board of Management on a variety of HR issues and by communicating effectively with all staff. We must as well guarantee the HR operation and strategy is in line with the Brazilian Labour Law (CLT).

Our HR team provides expertise on staff development and welfare, performance management, payroll, benefits, internship programme, local staff contracts, recruitment, induction, and all other topics involving employee relations and the Brazilian labour law.

This position will be part of our Operations and Management Information HR team, and will be in charge, mainly, of processing admissions, terminations, and purchase of benefits to staff.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?

  • Elaborate all documents for staff admission, termination, and change of positions within the Network.
  • Control and update the HR team KPIs, such as turnover and departure info.
  • Prepare staff induction according to the Network’s induction policies.
  • Manage all Network’s internship contracts.
  • Process the inclusions and removals of staff and their dependants of the health and dental scheme.
  • Purchase of bus ticket and meal voucher monthly.
  • Provide support to the Sao Paulo Business Partner whenever necessary, guaranteeing excellent customer service at post.
  • At least 1 year experience in human resources as a generalist;
  • Knowledge of Brazilian Labour Law, especially admissions and terminations;
  • Knowledge of Brazilian Internship Law;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and Portuguese;
  • Excellent eye for detail;
  • Able to multitask and prioritize accordingly.
