View Vacancy - AUS (Canberra)- Tri- Service Administrator A1 (L)
Reporting to the British Defence Liaison Staff (BDLS) Office and Deputy Office Manager, the Tri Service Administrator is responsible for the administration of the personnel loan / exchange programme between the UK and Australia which has approximately 70 serving personnel from all 3 services on 2 – 3 year exchange tours. This will also include an element of routine administration, collection and distribution of official mail and occasional driving duties in support of the Defence Section.
Roles and responsibilities:
Key to this will be providing support to the Exchange Officer (EO) programme to include:
- Arrival Briefs
- Departure Briefs
- Administration of the Overseas Furniture Package Scheme (OFPS)/Inventories
- Control and update of the Tri Service Contact List
- Control and update of the Arrival/Departure List
- Processing of all Exchange Officer Claims and issue payment notifications
- Entering personal details into the Immigration System
- Filing and retrieval of correspondence relating to Exchange personnel issues
- Collection and distribution of official mail to Exchange personnel
- Attend and contribute to Defence Section Team Meetings
- Other tasks as directed
Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Workd) and Microsoft Outlook
Holds a current and clean driving license

Salary is at AU$57, 487 per annum (paid out monthly), plus 11% superannuation.
Appointment is subject to an AFP records check and UK security clearance.
Open to Australian citizens, permanent residents, and partners/ dependents of UK-based diplomatic staff currently posted in Australia.
Staff recruited locally by the British High Commission and its Consulates is subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Australian employment law.
