Department for International Trade (DIT)

Main purpose of job:


Provide financial and administrative support to the DIT team within the Commercial Section (DIT-Brazil) at the British Consulate-General Sao Paulo.


Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct market and sector researches, producing reports when necessary;
  • Support with finance reports on team`s spend against forecast;
  • Support the Head of Trade in Sao Paulo with logistics around travel, booking meeting rooms and accommodation.
  • Provide support to the organisation of events (trade missions and fairs), official visits, seminars and workshops if needed
  • Assist the Business support team with OMIS (Overseas Market Introduction Services) for UK companies in the respective sectors;
  • Give support to possible demands from UK partners about Brazil;

Essential on arrival: 1st to 3rd year undergraduate student in Business Administration, Finance or International Relations related area or disciplines (graduating from mid 2019 onwards)

Learning and development opportunities:


The intern will develop the skills required for the promotion of trade between Brazilian and British companies and gain experience of events logistics, administrative tasks and finance.


We will also work with the successful candidate in looking for ways to combine their academic interests with the work undertaken at the Consulate.
