The Office of the Governor of Gibraltar is part of the worldwide FCDO network, representing British political & economic interests overseas and is currently looking for a Policy Support Officer. We are looking for a determined, self-sufficient, enterprising and results-oriented individual who has an interest in politics and government.
The main purpose of the role is to lead on domestic politics providing analysis and political reporting; monitoring new legislation (ensuring constitutional conformity) and on parliamentary engagement. Strategic outreach and public diplomacy, building effective and productive relationships with all sectors of the community (in particular the government), working with a range of stakeholders to identify opportunities to further the delivery of the Convent’s business objectives both enabling and through the Governor’s engagements.
Roles and responsibilities:
This is a full-time position with an initial fixed term contract of 24 months of 41 (gross) working hours per week.
The successful candidate will receive a monthly salary of £2395 Gross (12 instalments).
The successful candidate will be subject to professional background check, security clearance and a probation period of six months.
Staff recruited locally by the Office of the Governor in Gibraltar is subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local employment law.
