Main purpose of job:

Job holder will be appointed as Painter at the Estates department with good knowledge of painting work to carry out Day to Day Maintenance work, refurbishment and repair works for all on and off compound office and lease properties.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

The incumbent under the supervision of Supervisor Building and Civil Engineering in Estates department will be responsible for painting task to apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect exterior surfaces, buildings and structures  etc. at all BHC office and on or off compound lease properties (Approx..70houses) and other duties as per assigned by his line manager /CSO. 

Knowledge of Painting work as are under:- 

1. Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint.

2. Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler.

3. Tape, float, and texture walls and ceilings.

4. Select premixed paints or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint to match specified colours.

5. Paint surfaces, using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers, and apply paint with cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to create special effects.

6. Stain, seal, and varnish wood surfaces

To execute work requests timely based on the nature of the work and as per priority and time. Job holder must have knowledge of all kind surface preparation (i.e. repairing of cracks, filling of cracks, sanding) on wood, plaster and metal.

To assist in refurbishment work by checking of existing Painting and Polishing as per BHC norms. To thoroughly check the property in terms of Painting works to be done before handing over.

Responsible for supervising all Contractors staff painter by instructing and making them understand about the painting  job and ensuring they are working in line with UK health & safety rules To conduct general checks of all painting related activities.

To provide estimate for material and labour required for various painting jobs.

To Co-ordinate with other team members in completion of work requests which requires painting jobs for completion of their request.

Language requirements:  

Language: limited knowledge of English (Speaking/reading/writing) is required.

Level of language required:  Good knowledge of Hindi (Speaking/reading/writing) is required.

Learning and development opportunities:

Spoken English and Communication Skills.

For other than BHC candidates, Basic Salary will be INR 22,735 per month together with a 12% provident fund and 6% Superannuation Fund.
