Department for International Trade (DIT)

The Department for International Trade (DIT) Israel invites applications for the position of Trade Manager, B3 (L). The successful candidate will promote British exports to Israel and promote UK involvement in Israel’s high value infrastructure opportunities. The job holder will report directly to the Director, Trade & Investment, at the British Embassy.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Trade development activity - support the Trade & Investment Director, to develop and implement the department’s strategy to identify how to maximise opportunities for UK companies, attend meetings and events such as conferences and seminars.
  • Lead and guide the team of Senior Advisors Trade on strategic campaigns to ensure the delivery of targets.
  • Market appraisal activity – carrying out proactive market research to identify Israel’s high value infrastructure opportunities and new Export Win opportunities across a range of sectors.
  • Staff management and development - directly manage a team of two experienced commercial staff, and liaise /maintain contact with stakeholders.
  • Handling trade enquiries from both UK and Israeli companies with a view to promoting UK exports to Israel.

The Embassy aims to offer an attractive working environment and remuneration package for this role, including the non negotiable salary of ILS 10,954 per month, plus social benefits. Parking facilities will not be provided or paid for by the Embassy.

No accommodation or relocation expenses are payable in connection with this position.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:00 – 16:00 and Friday 8:00-13:30.

The appointment will be subject to security clearance and a probationary period of six months.

The position is available immediately. The contract of employment is for one year.

Eligibility:

Candidate must be able to work legally in Israel.
