Main purpose of job:

Support CSSF Cross-Cutting Team in Pakistan to deliver CSSF Programmes in Pakistan.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?

Manage individual projects

  • The post holder is accountable for the active and hands-on management of CSSF projects, as identified by the Cross-Cutting Team, ensuring projects meet CSSF requirements. This includes:
  • Managing partner contracts and associated extensions or amendments, where necessary
  • Monitoring partner work plans, including providing constructive challenge to implementing partners (especially around effective organisation of activities)
  • Monitoring partner spending and providing financial management of assigned projects, ensuring accurate monthly forecasting, quality assuring financial reports and invoices, ensuring reports are linked to verifiable activities reported in narrative reports, processing payments to implementing partners, and supporting audits, where relevant
  • Oversee monthly / quarterly narrative reporting of project activities for assigned projects, ensuring the reports arrive on time, are linked to amounts reported in financial reports, are of appropriate quality and have the required sign off by programme and policy leads
  • Monitoring project-level risks and ensuring appropriate mitigating action is taken and flagged to relevant Programme Manager(s) and Heads of Programme
  • Overseeing project-level reviews and completion reports for assigned projects, ensuring the reports arrive on time, are of appropriate quality and have the required sign off by programme and policy leads
  • Engaging regularly with partners of assigned project, meeting project partners monthly, attending relevant workshops/monitoring visits and sharing knowledge internally to inform others of important events and, as necessary, seek their engagement.
  • Ensuring updates and revisions of project level results framework for assigned projects
  • Monitoring AR recommendations at project level and ensuring they are implemented by partners
  • Ensuring cross cutting themes – including gender and human rights – are appropriately addressed by projects as directed by the Programme Manager(s) / Heads of Programme.

Support effective management of key Programmes overall

  • Contribute to the programme reporting and requirements, including reports to the Operational and Strategic boards, other results reporting, changes (as needed) to the Programme Documents, and programme-level financial forecasts
  • Contribute to programme Annual Reviews drawing on project-related information, as requested
  • Implement the information management policy for Programmes, as necessary
  • Support drafting/revision of programme-level briefs and other reports by providing information on assigned projects to the Programme Managers and other BHC staff
  • Help to consolidate information for due diligence processes as directed by the Programme Manager
  • Identify opportunities to add value to other work streams across the BHC and make recommendations to the Programme Manager
  • Support the Programme Manager to identify and address weaknesses in delivery and partner capacity.

Level of language required: Fluent

Other skills / experience / qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree; Two years relevant project management experience.

Three years relevant project management experience would be desirable.

Salary Details:

For BHC candidates, the Local BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.For other than BHC candidates, Basic Salary will be 133,046 PKR.
