The Marketing & GREAT Campaign Officer working with the Head of Marketing & GREAT Campaign will be responsible for successfully delivering the High Commission’s GREAT campaign work as well as providing marketing and event management support to High Commission colleagues. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Marketing and GREAT Campaign, to deliver the marketing activities and materials to support the successful delivery of the British High Commission’s commercial objectives in Malaysia working closely with both the Prosperity and Department for International Trade (DIT) teams.
  • Deliver the required marketing support to contribute towards the successful delivery of the ongoing Education is GREAT in ASEAN campaign – especially in Malaysia: including events support, production of marketing materials, content development, video footage and social media.
  • Support the Head of Marketing & GREAT Campaign, to develop and successfully deliver an Education is GREAT communications plan for Malaysia including website, digital and social media.
  • Responsible for all administrative work to support the successful delivery of the Education is GREAT campaign, such as setting up webinars and conference calls, circulating marketing materials and managing the regional and Malaysia campaign budgets.
  • Responsible for producing any GREAT campaign reporting and marketing feedback to the Hong Kong Marketing Hub and HQ. 
  • Support the Head of Marketing & GREAT Campaign with producing future GREAT Challenge Fund bids.
  • Support the Head of Marketing & GREAT Campaign to source cash and value-in-kind sponsorship for GREAT campaign work and BHC activities.
  • Provide marketing support to High Commission colleagues.
  • Provide support with Prosperity Team events management.

  • Proven marketing and communication skills including digital and social media;
  • An ability to handle project based work with considerable independence and self-management;
  • Good relationship management skills;
  • Good budget and administrative skills;
  • A strong team-player, able to work flexibly across a wide range of stakeholders, organisations and cultures with sensitivity and effectiveness;
  • A willingness to participate in occasional representational events after office hours;
  • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels;
  • Proficiency in MS office and good IT skills;
  • You have to have the legal right to live and work in Malaysia.
  • Knowledge of the Malaysian education sector and/or healthcare sector and Malaysian business sector;
  • Proficiency in the Malay language is advantageous;
