Main purpose of job:

The internship will offer the opportunity to:

  • Support the Economics and Trade Team with their daily activities through the analysis and the compilation of data, statistics and research papers.
  • Generate reliable data focused to impact the national and international discussion supporting the different strategies of the British Embassy.
  • Logistical support for events and visits.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Provide a continuous analysis of the principal topics that affect the Mexican economy and the UK-Mexico relation.
  • Assist in the research and editing of several reports and papers regarding various topics such as investment, trade, economic policy, poverty, innovation and macroeconomic stability.
  • Provide a continuous revision of Mexican and UK statistics to generate reliable data.
  • Provide support to other areas in the Embassy in their research projects and in their requirements of information and statistical analysis.
  • To coordinate and/or provide logistical support for events and visits.
  • All employees in the Embassy network are expected, as part of their job, to contribute towards the corporate activity of the organisation.
  • Studying an undergraduate degree in Economics.
  • Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish both written & spoken.
