The British Embassy in Kyiv is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to recruit a Corporate Services Assistant (Protocol) to provide a range of Corporate Services to Embassy staff including procurement of various goods and services, customs clearance, shipments and staff accreditation. To provide budget management and transaction processing support; to manage Embassy stationery and IT consumables supplies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support UK-based staff: accreditation with the MFA of UK-based staff and families, arranging visas for travel. Support staff on certain medical issues;
  • Logistical support: arrange customs clearance and delivery (incoming and outgoing) of personal effects of UK-based staff (unaccompanied airfreight and heavy baggage), of the Embassy’s visitors and other official consignments (including diplomatic lorries and outgoing diplomatic mail) for the Embassy’s use;
  • Arrange customs clearance (incoming and outgoing), deliveries, registration, de-registration, insurance, shipments of the Embassy official vehicles and UK-based staff private cars. Assisting with the sale and purchase arrangements for both official and private vehicles. Arranging insurance for Embassy vehicles. Assisting Security Manager with vehicle-related matters when necessary;
  • Management of stationery and IT consumables;
  • Procurement and payment of various goods and services for the Embassy. Contract management. Covering for transaction processing. Other CS shared tasks;
  • Other shared and ad hoc tasks as requirement by line manager.
  • IT. Computer/Internet literature;
  • 2 years of relevent work experience for the position;
  • Good presentational skills and confidence in dealing with people at all levels;
  • Proven record of accomplishment in service provision environment;
  • Be well-organised, able to balance a busy workload with a number of competing priorities and to manage and organise this workload effectively and systematically;
  • Be an enthusiastic and proactive individual;
  • Upper Intermediate communication skills both oral and written in English;
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written in Ukranian;



  • Previous work experience in international company;
  • Previous budget and financial forecasting experience;
  • Office management experience.

The appointment is a full-time permanent position.

This is a full-time position of 40 working hours per week including 1 hour per day for lunch. Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.

The successful candidate will be subject to professional background and security clearance.
