The British Embassy Trade Promotion (DIT) section in Berlin is seeking interns for a period of 3 months. Alternatively, mandatory internships can be offered for a period of up to 6 months.

You will have a chance to learn about the work of British diplomatic missions in Germany and Government Ministries in London, as well as networking directly with a wide range of UK and German companies. The British Embassy plays a key role in delivering the UK strategy on boosting British exports to, and inward investment from, Germany. In Berlin this includes the e-retail and consumer, energy and nuclear decommissioning.


 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

During the internship, the intern will gain insight into and become actively involved in a variety of areas related to trade and investment such as:

• Market research;

• Industrial sector mapping;

• Event management;

• VIP visits;

• Marketing tasks;

• Stakeholder management;

• Administrative tasks (including budgets, reporting, CRM).


We are looking for a determined, enterprising and result-oriented individual who is driven by an interest in business and economics.

The successful applicants will be good team players, flexible and happy to engage in a wide range of tasks.

We imagine that you have already gained some international experience, that you have strong interpersonal skills and excellent German and English communication skills.

Social Media experience is a plus.
