Main purpose of job:

Overall responsibility of smooth and efficient running of workflow section in conjunction with one other B3 workflow office manager.

Managing the visa operation carefully to ensure that applications are processed within agreed service standards, deploying resources effectively to ensure that targets are met; escalating potential delays to senior managers.

Roles and responsibilities:

Monitoring the use of resources in line with organisational procedures and plans.

Working effectively with your office manager counterpart.

Ensure that decisions are processed as per the Entry Clearance Manager’s authorisation.

Regularly reviewing procedures, working with teams to identify improvements and simplify processes.

Invest time to generate a common focus and genuine team spirit.

Setting clear objectives so staff are informed about expected levels of performance.

Carrying out regular face-to-face performance reviews giving honest feedback both positive and developmental.

Ensure that processes are in place to prioritize applications where a Priority Service has been requested and paid for.

Effectively communicate with colleagues of all grades both internal and external to ensure the timely processing of visa applications at the front end of the operation.

Throughout the appraisal period, to carry out line management responsibilities; developing staff; encouraging equal opportunities for all; giving regular feedback and promoting a working environment in which staff is able to perform efficiently and effectively.  

Resources managed:

Between 20-30 Staff depending on time of year.

Language: English

Level of language required: Fluent

Learning and development opportunities:

In house training and mentoring will be given.

Use of Visa Management databases and tools.
