Background:

The DIT marketing team is seeking a flexible, resilient individual with a proven ability to cope with fast-paced work for this temporary, but exciting role. The Campaign Associate will join the US team in New York for six months.

 

This position will be responsible for supporting a particular project, on the UK and US addressing the challenges and opportunities of the future of work. The campaign is focused on telling the UK’s economic story, promoting the UK as a business-friendly champion of free trade, and highlighting the UK-US relationship.

 

The campaign will be split across three main areas:

  1. An integrated marketing campaign, including digital content and media outreach  
  2. A series of business events across the North America network over the course of a few months, with a capstone event to be held in November in New York over three days
  3. A North America-wide, multi-sector competition for innovative US and Canada companies

 

This project is a collaboration led by DIT and other British Government Departments and will include various commercial partners.  



 


Duties and Responsibilities:



The Campaign Associate will support the day-to-day project management and evaluation.



Project management - 100%


Including, but not limited to:


  • Schedule all meetings with relevant stakeholders, agencies, partners, sponsors, etc.
  • Draft and send meeting agendas and readouts
  • Act as point person for proposal submissions for committee review
  • Coordinate invitation lists and RSVPs, working with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage site visits and travel
  • Support project managers in day-to-day collaboration with event and PR agencies
  • Log change requests and action points
  • Day-to-day budget management, including processing all expenses related to the campaign. Working in close coordination with the marketing team and colleagues across government departments to provide regular and accurate financial information, adhere to procurement processes, and ensure all invoices are processed in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the brand is used appropriately and that the project adheres to governance and reporting requirements and represent value for money.
  • Other related administrative tasks, as necessary.

Other ad-hoc duties.


Essential on arrival:


The ideal candidate will have at least three years relevant experience in a project management or government-related role.


Excellent team-working and interpersonal skills, including experience of working with senior level officials and executives.


This job requires working with colleagues across the N America network as well as the team in London. Candidate must be able to communicate quickly, thoroughly and effectively.


The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability in project management and strong communications skills as well as working with multiple stakeholders and partners. He/she will be comfortable managing resources and following complex processes and procedures and have a keen eye for detail.
