Main purpose of job:
The Corporate Services Section is responsible for the overall management of the British High Commission Estates, Finances, Human Resources, Transportation, Information Technology, Protocol and other administrative functions. It is a key section within the High Commission and staff are committed to providing the best possible support to the wider Mission to ensure the effective delivery of priority objectives across all teams.
As a member of the Corporate Services team, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of services to the wider Mission and supporting the Corporate Services Team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance in administering the BHC Medical Insurance plan
- Provide administrative assistance to the Customs & Protocol team
- Provide administrative support to Transport team
- Management of reception area
- Greet visitors and inform staff of visitor’s arrival
- Handle and redirect calls through the switchboard
- Make hotel bookings for official visitors
- Update BHC meeting room registers
- Undertake routine input or scanning of data into systems or databases
- Receive and forward incoming correspondence
- Other duties deemed operationally necessary by the Line Manager
Language requirements:
Language: English and Bangla
Level of language required: Fluent in Spoken and Written English and Bangla
Essential on arrival:
- Excellent command of English (oral and written)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good team player
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and handle multitasking
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Strong IT Skills, in particular MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Desirable:
Experience working in an international organisation or diplomatic mission.
For British High Commission (BHC) candidates, the Local Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.
For other than BHC candidates, salary range will be BDT 51,335 per month.
