View Vacancy - Events Internship (FRA390)
The British Embassy in Paris is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. It is also part of the UK’s France Network (including offices in Lyon, Bordeaux and Marseille) and representation to international organisations in Paris (OECD and UNESCO) and Strasbourg (CoE) and is currently looking for one intern.
Under the direction of the Head of Outreach, the intern will assist with the coordination and organisation of events at the Embassy and the British Ambassador’s Residence.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Outreach team with the coordination and organisation of events at the Embassy, including managing guest lists, external suppliers and invoicing, or logistics;
- Lead on particular tasks in related to the Embassy’s “Les Voisins” communications campaign;
- Assist the team with better, centralised coordination of events organised at the Embassy or the British Ambassador’s Residence;
- Other tasks as necessary, including administrative or corporate support for the team.
- Events management experience or qualification;
- A high standard of written and spoken French and English;
- Familiarity with Outlook and Excel;
- Ability to work well in a team or individually;
- Attention to detail and good organisational skills;
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- Franco-British knowledges.
This is a full-time internship position, with contract duration of 6 months.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a copy of his/her passport or national identity card for all nationalities held, an up-to-date criminal record (casier judiciaire) for recent countries of residence (which can be obtained online at www.justice.gouv.fr/cjn/), two written proofs of address (utility invoices and/or bank statements) and two references.
