View Vacancy - PBS Pre - Assessor (Internal Campaign - 6 months, temporary position)
Main purpose of job:
To pre – assess PBS applications and enrich all categories received over the peak period to ensure that they are 100 % ready for an ECO to make a swift decision on the outcome.
Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve:
- Up – loading and data checking all PBS applications (and other categories when workload is low)
- Initiating and following up on any enrichment activities that must take place on the relevant streamed applications.
- Corresponding with applicants to request further documentation / clarification on matters relating to their application.
- Making and recording the necessary mathematical calculations to see if the applicant meets the financial requirement set out for PBS
- Placing the required documentation in order for the ECO to see when assessing the application
- Correctly identifying and processing the Priority Visas first
- Exercising evidential flexibility correctly and where appropriate
- Requesting manual DB checks on the relevant files
- Document and workflow management of the PBS applications
Resources managed (staff and expenditure):
The team will be managed by the Enrichment ECO, and will be counter signed by the enrichment ECM for the duration of the 6 months.
To be a consistently high performing existing member of the larger data capturing team at UKVI and to understand how to use Proviso swiftly and efficiently.

Job holders will be expected to work the required shifts within the operating hours of UKVI which run from 7 am until 5.15 pm. Job holders will be asked to work their conditioned hours within that time frame, depending on the operational need, this will include the necessity to work both early and late shifts.
