Driver / Messenger

To ensure the High Commissioner and wider High Commission are able to operate fully and effectively by providing an efficient and dedicated transport service. The Fleet Manager will also be required to ensure the BHC fleet is maintained to a high standard and manage fleet-related administrative duties. The job holder will be required to provide support and assistance to the Corporate Services team when required.

  • Drive the High Commissioner to and from official functions and meetings. To carry out security checks for all departures and communicate to other parties before arrival. Ensure vehicles are in good condition and presentable.
  • Provide assistance to the Corporate Services Team for estate work and customs requirements.
  • Organising the purchase, sale, servicing and repair of official vehicles.
  • Receiver and Requisitioner on Prism. Managing and Profiling Transport Budget
  • Act as Post Security Manager, ensuring that Post Security Regulations are followed at all times.
  • Provide transportation for BHC staff and to carry out bank and postal runs when required.
  • Clean and valid driving license
  • Speaks English and Fijian
  • Experience in a similar position will be desirable
  • Some mechanical and security knowledge would be an advantage
