Department for International Trade (DIT)

Main purpose of job:

To support the delivery of DIT Brazil Defence and Security Organisation’s (DSO) activities;

-       Commercial coordination and the day-to-day operation of DSO;

-       Monitoring and analysing performance;

-       Support UK defence, security and emergency response companies to export to Brazil.

Roles and Responsibilites:

-       Respond to enquiries from Brazilian and UK companies in Brazil;

-       Write briefings and conduct research related to companies and business/economic topics;  

-       Regularly update client relationship system (datahub);  

-       Organise and support relevant events, (such as meetings, seminars, workshops and VIP visitors);

-       Ad hoc duties, including update spreadsheets with customers and projects information;

-       Keep the area’s documents, systems, spreadsheets, organised;

-       Support the teams as required (setting up and accompanying meetings, follow ups, reports, updating contacts, briefings, etc).

Language: Fluent English and Portuguese.

The successful candidate should be a 1st, 2nd or 3rd year student in Administration, Economics, International Trade or other related disciplines. He/she must have written and oral fluency in English and good communication skills in both Portuguese and English.

Academic experience with defence and security will be highly appreciated. Very good command of Microsoft Excel is a plus.
